In this first installment in the “Hope” message series, Pastor Hurmon encourages us to find our hope in a living God. It is difficult to be hopeful when we believe that life begins and ends with our own story. Hope arises as we recognize that our life is a part of something bigger that is playing out. To nurture hope and enter into God’s presence, Pastor Hurmon encourages us to slow life down, internalize encouraging scripture, and pay attention to the “unknown”—for example, venturing outside to experience awe in God’s creation.
