Pastor Hurmon continues the “Smart” message series by sharing about the prodigal son, who starts out by asking his father to “give me” the inheritance, but matures in his emotional intelligence to a young man saying, “make me” your servant. He also suggests that as we get closer to Jesus, our emotional as well as our spiritual IQ improves and we become more empathetic and compassionate in caring for others.
