In this message titled: “Recognizing the Thief”, Pastor Hurmon reminds us that everyone experiences trauma in their lives. He refers to trauma as a “thief” or a wound that can disrupt our well-being and distort our perception of the world. He tells us that trauma is central to our redemptive story of our faith, given that Jesus’ experience tremendous amounts of trauma in order to save our sins. Trauma makes us question our safety in a situation, our worthiness, and whether we are loveable. We must remember that the Agape-Loving shepherd gives us a new foundational story.
